Following fraught, and often cyclical conversations about the lack of equity in the publishing industry, a new vanguard of BIPOC editors are encouraging their publishers to take meaningful steps towards an anti-racist future. In the spirit of transparency in an opaque industry, our panel will speak to the business of publishing and what it takes to build a sustainable career as a BIPOC author, naming and celebrating the lineage they are part of, and the editors of color who came before them. With Ibrahim Ahmad, Jennifer Baker, Yuka Igarashi, and Yahdon Israel, moderated by Nadxieli Nieto.
