Born in Andhra Pradesh, India, Madhu H. Kaza is a writer, translator, artist and educator based in New York. She is a translator of contemporary Telugu fiction and the editor of Kitchen Table Translation. She works for the Bard Prison Initiative, where she serves as Faculty Advisor to the Microcollege and also teaches in the MFA program at Columbia University. She is a jurist for the 2021 National Book Award in Translated Literature.
